Random Acts of Love had the opportunity to gather and assemble sunshine boxes for Hospice patients at Austin’s Christopher House. This non-profit Hospice facility envisions a community in which people with serious illness live their final months with comfort, dignity and peace. The sunshine boxes were filled with yellow goodies and a note of encouragement and Bible verse.
We also delivered 250 thank you bags for all of the employees with signed thank you notes from our dedicated volunteers. We met many of the dedicated workers and volunteers when delivering the baskets and bags and were met with warm smiles and many thank you’s.
The need for hospice care is a very difficult time for all loved ones and the patients being taken care of during serious illnesses. Thank you to the RAOL volunteers who came out to help and for all of the hard workers and volunteers at Austin’s Christopher House.
“Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles so that we may be able to comfort those experiencing any trouble with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”
2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (NET)
